Glossary
The core terms and value types used across Matura.
Claim — an on-chain record of future income (amount, maturity, beneficiary, type), anchored by an issuer attestation. See Claims.
Issuer — an entity whose EIP-712 attestations are trusted to create claims. Approved signers are
tracked (with epochs) in the IssuerRegistry. The issuer key is the most sensitive secret in the
system — see What you're trusting.
Attestation — an EIP-712-signed statement by an approved issuer that a claim is real.
Vault — a pool of settlement capital that finances claims under a mandate. See Vaults.
Mandate — the rules bounding what a vault will finance and how it prices.
Leg — one vault's portion of a financing route. A route is one or more legs.
Route / ExecutionRoute — the selected set of legs that finance a claim, re-validated on-chain
before funds move. See Best-execution routing.
RouteIntent — a persisted, single-use record of an optimized route, pinned to a block;
pruned when expired.
Settlement — the maturity-gated, conservation-checked repayment of vaults and release of residual. See Settlement.
Base units — all money is uint256 base units on-chain (6-decimal MockUSDT) and decimal
strings across APIs — never floats. The signing boundary coerces with BigInt(str).
SIWE — Sign-In With Ethereum. The API authenticates wallets with a signed message → JWT; it never holds a user key. See Authentication.
Non-custodial write-preparation — API endpoints return unsigned calldata or EIP-712 typed data for your wallet to sign; the server never signs on your behalf.
Indexer / worker — a separate process that projects on-chain events into Postgres so the API can serve fast reads. See Indexer & worker.
Projection — the read-model in Postgres built from indexed on-chain events.
