Introduction
What Matura is, who these docs are for, and how to navigate them.
Matura turns money you've already earned — but haven't been paid yet — into cash today.
Think of an invoice due next month, salary you've accrued before payday, or a payment stream that vests over time. That's real value you own, but you can't spend it yet. Matura lets you get most of it now, at a fair, transparent price, without handing your funds to anyone.
It does this on the BNB Smart Chain test network. When you ask for cash, several lenders compete, and Matura automatically picks the cheapest combination and pays you — then proves that choice was honored, on the blockchain, where anyone can check it.
Testnet only. This is an early version running on a test network with pretend money. No real funds are ever involved.
A few ideas up front
- Claim — the future income you want to cash in (an invoice, wages, a stream).
- Vault — a pool of money that lends against claims. Several compete for your business.
- Best-execution — Matura always picks the cheapest verifiable offer, and the blockchain enforces it. You don't have to trust that you got a fair deal; you can verify it.
- Non-custodial — Matura never holds your wallet's key. You approve every action yourself.
